Steelpan virtuoso Liam Teague, who is the head of steelpan studies and an associate professor of music at Northern Illinois University, has written a study book for beginning Pan players called, “Steelpan Method.” The guide will include instruction on proper playing techniques like how to stand and sticking suggestions, various scales and specific songs that fit the various lessons covered.
