After seeing 2017 result in no judging due to a rain-out, New York Panorama was back in force in 2018. The event took place on Saturday, September 1 at the Brooklyn Museum grounds with seven bands competing. The bands placed in the following order:
- Despers USA
- CASYM
- Pan Evolution
- ADLIB
- D’Radoes
- Philly Pan Stars
- Harmony
After a 20-year draught, Despers USA took first place with Odie Franklin’s arrangement of “Year for Love” by Upendo Riddim. All bands delivered notable performances in their own right, with some stand-out moments among them coming from CASYM, Pan Evolution and Philly Pan Stars. Watch the winning performance below:
